USS Essex (LHD 2), 21 January 2006 — An AH-1W Super Cobra with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262 (Reinforced) conducts deck landing qualifications aboard the USS Essex (LHD 2) as an Essex Search and Rescue helicopter prepares to take to the air in support of the qualifications. The squadron is currently serving as the Aviation Combat Element of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit based in Okinawa, Japan.
