Pacific Ocean, 21 December 2004 — The Military Sealift Command (MSC) fast combat support ship USNS Rainier (T-AOE 7) shown underway in the Western Pacific Ocean. Rainier is part of Carrier Strike Group Nine (CSG-9), the first to be used in the Surge Role in support of the Chief of Naval Operations Fleet Response Plan.
