U.S.M.C. UH-1N Huey

Doganbey, Turkey, 11 October 2000 — A UH-1N Huey helicopter from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 264, “The Black Knights,” 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), provides Rotary Wing Close Air Support for Golf Company, Battalion Landing Team 2/2's during the Combat Enhancement Training phase of exercise Destined Glory 2000. Golf Company's objective was to secure terrain to allow for a rapid buildup of reinforcements ashore. Destined Glory is designed to build interoperability and cooperation between military forces in the Mediterranean Region. Elements of the United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Italian, Spanish, Greek and Turkish air, naval and land forces are taking part in the exercise.
