U.S. Air Force H-53J Pave Low III

Operation Enduring Freedom; 12 December 2001 — An H-53J Pave Low III helicopter machine gunner from the 16th Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida, mans his mini gun as he searches for threats while his aircraft refuels during a mission in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The Pave Low's mission is low-level, long-range, undetected penetration into hostile areas. It can accomplish this mission during the day or night or in adverse weather.
