U.S. Navy SH-60B Seahawk

Indian Ocean, 05 January 2005 — An SH-60B Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the “Saberhawks” of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light Four Seven (HSL-47), lands on the flight deck aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) to pick up jugs of purified water. The water jugs will be flown to regions isolated by the Tsunami in Sumatra, Indonesia. Helicopters assigned to Carrier Air Wing Two (CVW-2) and Sailors from Abraham Lincoln are conducting humanitarian operations in the wake of the Tsunami that struck South East Asia. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is currently operating in the Indian Ocean off the waters of Indonesia and Thailand.
