Chatter Plain, Pakistan, 18 January 2006 — U.S. Marines hook up a sling-load of food supplies to an Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter at Chatter Plain, Pakistan, to aid those affected by a major earthquake last fall. A joint exercise in Maryland last week aimed to assess the military's approach to such operations.
