USS Essex (LHD 2), 03 February 2007 — A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 (Reinforced) is offloaded by the ship’s combat cargo personnel here. The squadron used Sea Knight and CH-53E Super Stallion helicopters to fly in cargo and continue their role as the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s aviation combat element.
