UH-1B Huey

This is a 'B' model UH-1 Huey launching an AGM22 missile. One way of telling the difference between a 'B' model and the C/M model is that the 'B' model Huey has the FM homing antennas mounted on the nose of the aircraft where as the C/M model Huey has the FM homing antenna (towel rack, as it is commonly called) mounted on the roof of the aircraft.

As pointed out by an Army Aviator, this way of identifying a particular model of aircraft is not always accurate. The late Bs and early Cs are virtually identical as far as antennas placement. One sure way to distinguish a 'B' from a 'C' or 'M' is the location of the fuel filler opening. The 'B' models fuel filler receptacle is located on the right side while on the 'C' or 'M' the fuel filler receptacle is located on the left side.
