USS Peleliu (LHA 5), 08 March 2006 — Marines from Company C, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, (Special Operations Capable) Camp Pendleton, California, fast rope from a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter to the deck of the USS Peleliu (LHA 5) during a training exercise. The 11th MEU (SOC) is on a six-month deployment throughout the Western Pacific Ocean and Persian Gulf in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
