AH-1W Super Cobra
Atlantic Ocean, 05 April 2005 —
An AH-1W Super Cobra assigned to “Golden Eagles” of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron One Six Two (HMM-162), provides security for the amphibious transport dock USS Ponce
(LPD 15)
during a training exercise in the Atlantic Ocean. Ponce, assigned to the
USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) Expeditionary Strike Group, is on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
